Happy New Year!

As some of you might have noticed, there have been some technical issues with the website over the last couple of months. This has now been sorted, but sadly some pictures were lost in the process. I hope to be able to find the time to go back and upload them all again, but I’m just happy to be back online 🙂

I would like to thank everyone for their support throughout 2015, and I look forward to a great 2016!!!

Stepping in for a colleague

I had a request for help from a friend of mine, Robert Brewer Young, to have a look over one of his cellos which is going on a concert tour to Asia. His client was in London, but he was in the United States, and needed someone to take care of everything. It was a fun job, because I really liked this instrument.

Pierre Fournier Award with Valentino Worlitzsch

I had the pleasure to host Valentino Worlitzsch and his father while he was competing at the Pierre Fournier award at the Wigmore Hall. My workshop was transformed into a guest bedroom, and my living room became a rehearsal room.

Introducing: the Senza System

I made a video to help people understand the senza system a little better. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank Elliot Corner from Promote Classical without whom this project would have been impossible. You guys did an amazing job!

I had a great time making this video, and I’d love to hear what you all think of it. Please send me some comments and don’t forget to share it with all your friends!

Oberlin Violin Makers’ Workshop

I’m very excited to be going to the violin makers’ workshop at the very prestigious Oberlin College in Cleveland, USA. It is organised by the Violin Society of America, who only accept the top violin makers around to their workshop. It is a great honour to be among them.

What is Luxury?

I went the the V&A Musem, and they had a great exhibition on luxury. There were some amazing items on display, but what really struck a chord were the quotes on the wall. They reminded me of how I approach my work and how I feel about the instruments I build.

Promo Video

I’m happy to announce my latest project in conjunction with Elliot Corner from Promote Classical. We have been hard at work over the last month putting together ideas for a promo video of the Senza System and today was the video shoot!

Senza System – The Results

It’s been a long time coming, but I’m finally ready to release the results of my study. I’m sure you’re all dying to see them, so without further ado, let’s begin…

Makers’ Day 2015

What a day! We met so many great people. I would like to thank everyone who decided to drop by and say hello.

For those of you who couldn’t make it, I’ve posted a few pictures to give you taste of how it was.

Edit (16/04/15): OK, so it has taken a fair amount of time, but I have finally managed to get more pictures from the wonderful London maker’s day last month.

Edit (01/01/16): The website was hacked at the end of 2015, and we sadly lost some content. The second set of pictures in the post is among the casualties.

Try the Senza System for yourself!

The violin makers’ fair is tomorrow!

Volker Worlitzsch himself has come to London to share an exhibitor’s stand with me. As you can see, we are hard at work preparing for the big event.
